Injera platters, tibs, and lentil and vegetable wats — eaten together, shared from one big plate.
One Table. Many Cultures. One Family.
Global Home Cooking is coming to Houston. Join the guest waitlist for a home-cooked meal at a real family's table — or claim your place as one of the Founding 100 Family Providers. The moment we reach 100 providers, we launch.
Airbnb is turning your home into a business.
Uber is turning your car into a business.
Now — Global Home Cooking You can turn your kitchen table into a business.
Every GHC meal happens in a real family's home, cooked by the family, shared at their table. These are our starting ten — more cultures joining as we grow. We're not booking yet: pick the food you're craving and the occasion you have in mind, and you'll be on the waitlist for when booking opens.
Injera platters, tibs, and lentil and vegetable wats — eaten together, shared from one big plate.
Smoky party jollof, egusi, pepper soup and suya — bold, generous, and made the way home tastes.
Jerk chicken, oxtail, rice and peas and sweet plantain — island cooking with real heat and heart.
Fried chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens and cornbread — Sunday dinner, any day of the week.
Handmade pasta and slow Sunday sauces, from family recipes passed down and cooked with love.
Tacos al pastor, pozole, tamales and abuela's mole — warm tortillas and food made to be shared.
Thalis, slow curries, dal and fresh naan — a table full of small dishes, each with its own spice.
Hummus and warm pita, falafel, grilled kebabs and bright salads — mezze meant for the middle of the table.
Fragrant pho, fresh spring rolls and herb-packed family recipes — broths that simmer all day.
Waakye, Ghana jollof, groundnut stew and sweet kelewele — rich, peppery, and proudly from home.
Our starting ten — more cultures joining as we grow. GHC hasn't launched yet, so picking a cuisine today puts you on the guest waitlist, not a booking. Launch happens the moment our Founding 100 family providers are in place — and waitlist guests hear first when booking opens.
This is the experience we're building toward — how it will work the day we launch. Book a family. Share a meal. Share culture.
When booking opens, you'll choose a family, date, and meal.
The family cooks and welcomes you into their home.
Secure payment. Fair for both sides.
Enjoy a delicious meal, great company, and share culture.
Leave a review. Help others and build trust.
A restaurant gives you a table. A family gives you a seat at theirs.
Bring your date somewhere no restaurant can take them — a real family's table.
Bring your family to meet another family, and let the kids taste the world.
A night in with friends, where someone else's family does the cooking.
Bring your team together over food and stories no office lunch can match.
Skip the tourist spots. Eat where the city actually eats — at home.
Birthdays, anniversaries, homecomings — celebrated around a family's table.
Join Global Home Cooking and turn your passion for cooking into income — on your terms, from your own kitchen. Houston's first host families become the Founding 100: the group whose arrival launches everything.
Get paid for the meals you love to cook.
Introduce guests to your food, your story, your traditions.
Pick your dates, menu, and availability.
We handle bookings, payments, and customer support.
Use your kitchen. Welcome guests. Create memories.
Inviting people into a home takes trust — on both sides of the table. Here's how GHC earns it.
No family hosts until their kitchen and home have been reviewed and approved for hosting.
Before each hosted meal, the family completes a food-safety and sanitation record covering personal hygiene, kitchen sanitation, safe food temperatures, and a review of every guest's allergies.
Guests pay through the platform — never cash at the door. Families are paid after the experience is delivered.
Guests and host families review each other after every meal, so great hosts and respectful guests rise to the top.
One honest note: GHC's compliance record is an internal quality standard — it is not a government inspection or license. Rules for home-based food service vary by city and state, and every host family is responsible for meeting the legal requirements where they live before hosting.
Our goal is simple: 100 Houston family providers. The moment the 100th family joins, Global Home Cooking launches — every table, every cuisine, all of it. The families who sign up now aren't just joining a list; they're the founding group this whole thing is built on.
GHC hasn't launched yet — these are the two ways in at the start. Guests join the waitlist; families join the Founding 100. Both forms go straight to the GHC team at globalhomecookinginc@gmail.com.
